Mineral water and herbal teas are consumed in unlimited quantities. In addition, vegetable broths (without lumps) prepared freshly, or freshly squeezed fruit and/or vegetable juices are a much-appreciated addition. The program begins with a light vegetarian meal on the day of arrival, followed by a day of digestive rest. At the end of the fast, food is gradually reintroduced over a set period, known as the "resumption of food."
